The M.P’s Surgery has played an important role in the work of RMC. This surgery, has been operating once a week and fulfils the function of dealing with difficult issues which require direct contact with the Home Office as well as other government or public sector agencies.
A typical case brought to the surgery is where the UKBA has failed to respond within the timescale to RMC through normal mail or telephone enquiries and/or where errors have been identified in the documentation pertaining to particular clients’ refugee/immigration status, appeal procedures or family re-union.
For 8 years (until May 2010) RMC hosted a weekly surgery from the office of Rob Marris, former MP for Wolverhampton South West.
We have established links with the new MP for Wolverhampton South West, Paul Uppal and we are pleased to inform our clients that we are currently running our usual weekly surgery on Monday afternoon that is coordinated by Mohamed Mustafa. Your inquiries are directly taken by the staff of Mr Paul Uppal.
RMC provides free information, advice and support for some of the most vulnerable people in our society regardless of their immigration status or background.>>
