women's surgery

A dedicated open surgery for Women only

The women’s open surgery times are: Tuesday afternoons 2-5pm. (Door opens at 2 pm). No appointments are required. This surgery works on a first-come first served basis.

Women are always welcome to come to any of the open surgery times for advice services.

Two years ago, we launched a dedicated women’s advice and guidance surgery on Tuesday afternoons, in order to help more women access our service. The decision to have a dedicated session available for women was made in order to reflect the diversity and cultural sensitivities within our client groups.

We aim to provide a confidential and empathetic environment for women to talk about their problems.

The Tuesday afternoon surgeries have proved to be very successful, resulting in a substantial increase in the number of women accessing our service.

Our women clients have welcomed and expressed their appreciation for this development in our service. Our work in this field has included advice related to issues such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, rape, torture and female genital mutilation.

The RMC always aims to provide a confidential and empathetic environment for women to talk about their problems.
