TRUSTS AND FOUNDATIONS

The Refugee & Migrant Centre has over 9 years experience of helping asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. It is one of the region’s leading agencies in the field.

The income we receive from Charitable Trusts and Foundations is extremely important to us. Many of our projects would not be possible without the generous support of Trusts and Foundations.

We have a range of exciting areas of work which appeal to many Trusts and Foundations. All our projects have a high level of user involvement and meet a particular need. We are currently seeking funding for a number of projects, in particular our:
• Volunteering Project - providing work experience/increasing skills base of anyone that would like to volunteer with us.
• Women’s Project – providing one-to-one support for women, counseling sessions and to provide a place for women to get together and socialise.
• Citizenship Project – preparing people to take their ‘Life in the UK Test’: this includes practical support through practice tests on the computer and workshops which cover the official materials recommended to those taking the test.
• Project for young asylum seekers and refugees aged 16-21 – to provide one-to-one support for them in all aspects of their lives.
